I want to be healthy. How do I begin?

The fact that you have this question is a great start!! Every change comes with the desire to want to change. The key here is to get started, sustain the desire and make headways.
You increase your batting average if you surround yourself with people of like mind. Stop dealing with those who discourage you or think you are being silly and that 'if there is nothing broken, why fix it'!! Join meet up groups, spend an hour a day listening to or reading books on self improvement. I love Dr Dyer's books and personally listen to my collection of self improvement audios on my ipod in the car. You have to remember that everything of value is a process and not an event. As such, being healthy and staying healthy is a process to attain and then a process to keep. Where your attention goes, your energy flows so write down what your health goals are, review them daily and OWN them. The more you 'live' it, the longer you 'keep' it. Finally, dont beat yourself up if you dont make big jumps every single day. Do make 'some' improvement EVERY DAY though. Remember, one improvement, one day at a time will get you where you want to be before you know it. Good luck and do know that you can always reach me via email or call the office (see my office link below)

Be outrageous, courageous and contagious:-)
